Perineural Injection therapy involves the use of dextrose (D5W) as an injectable medication to help lower the pain threshold of the nervous system by eliminating the inflammatory response of the nerves. Often this can get patients out of musculoskeletal pain immediately in your office that day. This is an important therapy for all physicians who are working with any patient population. Perineural injection therapy can help with common syndromes such as headaches, low back pain and other soft tissue injuries to patients who are struggling with chronic pain syndromes as well.
In this class, we will cover some of our most commonly used injections for neck, shoulder, low back and lower extremity.
